7 Sweet Summer Facts from 2020 Summer is officially ending and although it was uncomfortable and weird due to a global pandemic, oddly I refound myself and had possibly the best Summer of my life! After buying a kayak this year, being on the water at @belmontshorelb is my favorite activity for exercise and relaxation. ... I'm a Cancer and celebrated on July 2nd with home cooked crab legs. LOTS of butter and lemon of course! Reading is something I've done regularly in Summer since I was a kid. My mom used to read us a novel over the few months of school break then we would watch the movie. As a teenager I'd absorb a book a week. Now I fit it in when I can. I'm currently finishing The Nest by @cynthiadsweeney about an intricate family dynamic, it's a total page turner. I re-watched @parksandrec for the 10th time. Leslie Knope is my spirit animal. I started doing urban hikes through @downtown with my beagle Hank. We walk through The Pike, the convention center, Rainbow Harbor and look for hidden murals, plants and animals. I love cooking with peaches, especially when they are ripe in the Summer. Check out my stories for a step by step Peach Salsa recipe. It's great with tortilla chips, on a salad or topped on fish tacos. I had real deal branding photos taken by @maribelfarinaphoto and it was a BLAST! I started the day with a hair touch up by @envybeautystudio then got makeup done by @kaylaarielleartistry . I felt like the absolute best version of myself and honestly just had fun walking around my city. There were lots of ups and downs with friends moving, business being closed, laws constantly changing BUT my mindfulness, gratefulness and determination to work on the important things in life has grown immensely!
