This 4th of July, don't blindly praise the United States. Use today as a day of deep reflection on our country's history and issues. We are a flawed nation and we should not hide from that. Criticizing and protesting a cruel and unjust government is not only our right, it is one of the very notions this country was founded on. Never stop fighting for something better.
