Did you know that #BehavioralHealth was recently identified as a priority health need in SVMHS' Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)? It may seem difficult to find resources for behavioral health during a pandemic, but our friends at @MontereyCountyBehavioralHealthBureau have launched a number of virtual education sessions on zoom, including a great series on families and pediatric mental health. You can find the CHNA here: https://www.svmh.com/abo/community-health-needs-assessment/ and you can find out more on the "Families Matter" educational series and many others by visiting the Monterey County Behavioral Health Bureau's Facebook page. #CareForYourCommunity #CHNA #SVMH #Community

Recently, the Rotary Club of Salinas presented the SVMH Foundation with a check for $22,250 that had been raised during their annual holiday meeting. This generous fundraising effort benefits a program, designed and delivered by Social Workers at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, focused on responding to families financially impacted by the loss of a loved one due to COVID-19. Thank you, Salinas Rotary, for showing how you truly #CareForYourCommunity. #COVID19 #Rotary #SalinasRotary
The first Friday in February is National Wear Red Day, an effort to spread awareness about the number one cause of death in women in the United States - Heart Disease. Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System is a leader in heart disease prevention, and donors to our 'Cardiac and Stroke' fund help make sure that our cardiac team has the tools and resources necessary to provide world-class, award-winning, heart care. #CareForYourCommunity #WearRedDay #GoRedForWomen #SVMH #MontereyCounty
These amazing NICview cameras are in place thanks to generous donations made to our Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Program! This is one of many examples of how your giving is making a difference each and every day. Every time you "round up" at a Panda Express or Ace Hardware register, or when you say "YES" when asked to donate at your local Costco, Walmart, Rite Aid, or at ANY of our wonderful corporate partners, your donation stays local and helps provide things like this NICview system, connecting babies and their families when they can't be together in person. #CareForYourCommunity #SVMHFoundation #RoundUp #NICview
