Throwback Thursday! Found this catalog while going through some folders from the 1980’s. Nearly 40 years ago, Susie Q’s looked a little different, but offered the same great products.... Thank you to all of our customers who have been with us over the years!

Yesterday we helped Good Samaritan and KCOY 12 Central Coast News collect Thanksgiving turkeys for families in our community. Hundreds of local businesses, organizations and individuals donated turkeys. We thanked each turkey donor with complimentary Susie Q's Pinquito Bean Kits. A special thanks to Kirsten Cahoon, Director of Shelter Operations at Good Samaritan Services for being such a force for good in our community.

Congratulations to the winners of our summer contest, who have all claimed their prizes. The grand prize, a Santa Maria Style BBQ, was awarded to Santa Maria local Vanessa P., who made us all smile with her story about getting stopped by the TSA for carrying a large amount of white powder in her luggage that turned out to be jars of our seasoning. The winning entries with the top votes have been contacted and their BBQ Tool Boxes have been shipped out. ... Thanks to everyone that participated. When it's time for cattle branding on the Righetti ranch, we invite neighboring ranchers and friends from afar to work together. Following a long morning on horseback, the Righetti family hosts a Santa Maria Style BBQ feast for the group. This year, Susie's husband Paul served up his famous New York steaks cooked over red oak wood that is harvested from downed trees on the ranch.

Before we closed our office doors for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the Susie Q's team built out 600 seasoning packets with recipe cards for Good Samaritan Services. They will be distributed with hundreds of turkeys donated through their annual food drive in partnership with KCOY 12 Central Coast News. We would like to wish everyone a happy, humble Thanksgiving surrounded by the people and foods you love.
