Traditionally, Justin always wore glasses. Sports, driving, and at work, Justin required glasses to see and get through his day. Tired of wearing glasses (and also tired of the constant fog from his mask), Justin decided to get Lasik. Yesterday he had surgery, and today he was back in with Dr. Dinh for his post-ope...ration exam. Less than 24 hours after Lasik surgery, Justin now has better than 20/20 vision. Over the past few weeks, Surf City Optometry has received some great news from Major League Baseball. Last week, Pitcher Griffin Canning was named the American League Gold Glove Award winner at his position. This marks the first career Gold Glove for Canning, who spent his first full season in the Majors in 2020, and the 2nd Gold Glove award in Halo pitcher History. Later in the week, outfielder Mike Trout also received his 8th Silver Slugger award. Trout is the first playe...r in MLB history to win his eighth Silver Slugger Award by his age-28 season. He also has the most Silver Sluggers among all active players. Congratulations to Griffin and Mike on their well-deserved awards! Friday evening, Angels 1st baseman Albert Pujols hit home runs #661 and #662, ultimately passing Willie Mays for fifth on the all time home run list. Tonight, the US Women’s Soccer Team faces off against England for the start of the She Believes Cup. Just last week, the Surf City Optometry Team met with the US Women’s Soccer Team in Orlando in preparation. Historically, no team has ever won the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics back-to-back. This tournament will feature some of the best teams leading up to Tokyo and it will be very exciting to see. Tune in tonight at 4pm PST and support our team! Let’s go Team USA!

It’s been an incredible year here at Surf City Optometry, and as 2019 nears its end, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate some of its greatest highlights. These are memories for a lifetime! 1) Early this year, the LA Rams took home the NFC Championship, and took us to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta. 2) Dr. Dinh welcomed baby Avery to the world 3) Our office expanded adding 3 new exam rooms 4) USA Men’s and Women’s Waterpolo and Volleyball all qualified for the 2020 Olympics i...n Tokyo. 5) SCO began working with the Anaheim Ducks 6) SCO brought on the extremely talented Dr. Michael S.
