Girl Scout Troop 2993 came together to make cards and write letters for the "Thank a Servicemember" campaign. You can participate by dropping off your letters in the LGCA mailbox before December 1st.

Dear LGCA Members, Wow! What an interesting time we are living in! I want to thank you for your patience and understanding while the clubhouse and pool have been closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. As you may know, Los Angeles County has stated that we can open the pool for members only, and we also received the go-ahead from the city of Lakewood. The LGCA swimming pool has been a wonderful asset to our community for years, and we want to keep it that way. However, due to... ongoing COVID-19 guidelines, each member is now required to sign a Pool Waiver Form before using the pool. The waiver is attached to this email and will be available at the clubhouse or by clicking the link on our website https://www.lgca.info/. The waiver has specific rules that each member needs to follow to minimize exposure to COVID-19 for themselves and for others. Note that failure to do so may risk suspension of pool and clubhouse access. RULES: Pool Max Capacity: 10 people Pool Hours: 10 am to 6 pm daily. (Note: On days when the clubhouse is being rented members can swim until 4 pm.) The Summer Pool Season will begin on June 17, 2020 through August 22, 2020. No lifeguards will be on duty. The pool may or may not be heated throughout the year. Pool heating is subject to the operation of the thermal heating system and we cannot guarantee that it will be functioning during any given time of the year. Please do not move the patio furniture from their current location. We do not have paid staff to put the furniture back every day and we don't want the pool deck to become unsightly. We also ask that you clean up after yourselves. Throw away any food and/or trash in your area before you leave. Note that the pool is under video surveillance. We are currently in the process of putting together safety measures and writing up safety protocols so that we can reopen the Clubhouse & Pool. We will keep you posted when this is finalized.
