We are proud to announce that this year's Golf Classic raised $112,000 to go toward our new Interventional Pulmonology Program. As both a community-based hospital and a robust tertiary center, Northridge Hospital Medical Center is positioned to take on a unique and rapidly growing service line, Interventional Pulmonology. This is a highly specialized procedural service that deals with the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of various pulmonary diseases affecting the airways, lungs and pleural space. It is especially important in caring for patients with lung cancer who tend to have a much worse prognosis. Currently there is a tremendous unmet need for this cutting-edge service in our community.
