Serve and love on the people in the Tenderloin this holiday season by distributing meals to our unhoused neighbors, delivering meals to nearby SRO’s and apartment buildings, and wrapping presents for the children of the Tenderloin to open at Christmas or consider assembling a bag of groceries. Sunset Church has partnered with Operation Christmas Child (OCC) for over 15 years, sending shoebox gifts to underprivileged kids around the world, with the ultimate goal to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and transform lives and communities. Missions Moment: Middle East Refugees Lance and Lisa have been working in the Middle East for the last 19 years.They have been thankful for resources provided by Sunset to help support a Medicine and Nutrition project to help Arab refugees in this time of COVID-19 Crisis.Here are a few stories of things God is doing: * During COVID restrictions, we were able to deliver medications to needy refugee families at their homes who have chronic illnesses.Recently, Lisa walked do...wn the steep stairs on the side of the hill where many refugees live.She saw the Somali patient sitting on the steps near his door.He looked up at her and received the medicine.He said, I was just sitting here and crying out to God in my unemployment and great need, asking if God cared about me.Then, you walked up and gave me this medicine and prayed with me!I know God hears me! * Over the last two months, we’ve been able to impact 589 people with either medicine or vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables at the local market. #MissionsMoment #Missions #SunsetChurchSF See more
