Since this is the internet, and everyone here has an opinion, here is mine: Apple is ditching the headphone port. Fantastic. I am legitimately in favor of this move. It's 2016, and I'm the age of Bluetooth, wires are no longer needed, they get tangled, they get in the way, cables get caught on door handles and break. Not an issue with Bluetooth. As fas as the new Apple AirPods are concerned, I look forward to checking them out, as I am a fan of how seamlessly Apple products w...ork with each other. I'm excited to see how the user experience goes switching between devices, and not having to re-pair each time I switch from my iPhone to my computer. For those who don't like the price tag, there are dozens of affordable Bluetooth headphones, like the LG HBS-750, which cost about $20 on Amazon Prime, and work perfectly well with an iPhone or iPad. For those who want high end audio, Beats make several Bluetooth headsets as well. For those who are attached to having wires on their headphones, Apple is giving you a set that plug straight into the lightning port. If you have a favorite set of headphones, you'll also be getting a FREE adapter to connect your old faithful headphones to the lightning port. I've been saying it for years: Apple waits for two things before releasing new features on their devices. First, they wait until the technology is perfect in order to provide the best possible user experience. Second, they wait until the market is ready to support the new tech. With the new W1 chip, the user experience should be perfect, and with the dozens of alternative Bluetooth options on the market as well as lightning to 3.5mm adapters, the AirPods hefty price tag will not end up leaving those who don't like the $160 ticket out in the cold. Brief review of iOS 9: I installed iOS 9 this morning, and I'm already noticing severe battery life issues and problems with app crashing. I recommend avoiding this update until an update is presented.
