Sulphur Horse Registry 15.11.2020

Total hats off to Mark Wilson. Our mare, Lady Diana, he is approaching in the video was horribly abused by charros for years. Kim and I could barely approach he...r. She would eat out of our hands but anything more, that would be a hard stop, no. He has a true talent and gift for helping horses rehabilitate. I personally have seen him help his mare Cheyenne who came from a bad situation and still to this day has permanent rope burns on her pole and also Mesquite who came from the same charros as Lady Diana and both are now his faithful riding companions. Thank you, Mark for your help with Lady Diana! And thank you for your help with rescuing our horses from the Valley fire in San Diego. See more

Got some videos of Cesare being worked today. He’s in training to compete in reining and working cow. The videos were taken this morning and he’s being put thro...ugh his paces. He absolutely LOVES to work! My trainer said that he is very slowly putting on weight. He has access to Bermuda grass all day, eats alfalfa at night with his grain bucket, rice brain oil and tri amino acids. I’m hoping he will look more like a 6/10 next year. Same type of weight that the Lipizzaner stallions at Vienna have.

Rancho de España Antigua has been greatly affected by this. We weren’t allowed to rescue our horses despite efforts and Mark Wilson driving 45 minutes down to try to help evacuate them. For those that pray, please pray. I’ve read some houses have been burned down.

Sulphur Horse Registry 07.10.2020

Hi Sulphur folks, This is Kimberlee Jones. I realize I have been basically dormant for several years and that is due to the constant backstabbing, lying, and overall vicious nature of some folks that own these horses that only seem to be interested in causing drama and strife, rather than working together for the betterment of the Sulphur horses. I got sick of it and decided to step back and focus on my horses. It is much nicer back here and I am able to focus on other things...Continue reading

These stallions and stud colts all represent the Cortez tail line. All are registered purebred Barbs in the SHR Barb studbook. First is, Torero (Dragon x Chulit...a Bayo), Lucian (Torero x Zora), Cortez (Dragon x Arista), Diaz (Dragon x Tiger Lily), and finally, Dragon (Cortez x Cisco). Dragon is the only remaining living son of Cortez. Lucian is currently available to the right home. He must not be gelded. We are desperately trying to save this breed from extinction. PM me for the seller’s information.

CEDAR CITY, Utah On August 15, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Cedar City Field Office will begin gather operations to remove excess wild horses from within and outside of the Sulphur Herd Management Area (HMA) in Beaver and Millard counties. The gather is expected to last approximately 16 days. The BLM will gather approximately 600 wild horses from BLM-administered lands using the helicopter drive-trapping method. Population growth suppression will be implemented to help stabilize the annual increase of animals being born on the HMA. The appropriate management level for this HMA is 165 - 250 animals and the current population is approximately 1,193 horses. Horses removed from the range will be transported to the Axtell Off-Range Contract Wild Horse Facility in Axtell, Utah.
