*** 3000 Calls *** At , 12:45 am on December 23rd, 2020, the Suisun City Fire Department officially ran its 3000th 911 call of 2020. This is a historic milestone for Suisun City. Last year, Suisun City set a new record for call volume at 2,582 calls for service. This year, Suisun City Fire Department has blown all previous response records, in all statistical categories collected, out of the water. This is an extremely significant call volume for a (1) one station municipal f...ire department. 3000 plus calls a year, places Suisun City Engine 47 as one of the busiest fire engines in all of Solano County. It is with great pride and dedication that the members of Suisun City Fire Department rise to meet the growing needs of Suisun City and elevate the excellent customer service they provide the community day in and day out. As we finish this historic year, we are grateful for such an amazing and special community that always supports us. We are grateful for a city council that has continued to educate themselves on our needs and the community’s public safety needs. And we are grateful for a well trained, highly skilled, and committed staff that continues to deliver on their mission, even as the workload exponentially grows. *** Toy Drive Update & Thank You *** Suisun City Fire Department is excited to announce that this year’s SCFD toy drive for local children and families in need, has been a resounding success. We will be delivering toys and holiday cheer to nearly 100 children and families in Suisun City on Wednesday December 16th. SCFD wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone in the community who made selfless donations of toys for our toy drive. All of you who donated, embody the... the compassionate and caring spirit of Suisun City. A very special thank you to our collection locations: Waterfront Comics, Ace Hardware, Virgils Bait Shop, Dan O Root Elementary School, True Symmetry Brewing Company, and SCFD Station 47. Without all of the support from our toy bin sponsors, this amazing opportunity would not exist! *** 3rd Alarm Vegetation Fire*** At 1:57 pm, SCFD was dispatched to a vegetation fire on Peterson Road, East of Walter Road in Suisun City. The fire was over 5 acres by the time the first Suisun City Fire units arrived on scene and was driven by winds of over 30 mph. The fire was upgraded to a third alarm and the Peterson Incident was established. A Unified Command was set up between Suisun City FD, Suisun City PD, and Suisun Fire Protection District. Hwy 12 is closed betwe...en Scally Rd and Walters Rd. Th e Peterson fire is estimated at over 300 acres. No structures have been lost and no structures are currently threatened. No injuries reported. This is still an active incident. More information to follow:

*** Vehicle vs. 3 pedestrians *** SCFD is on scene of a vehicle vs multiple juvenile pedestrians in Suisun City at Pintail Drive and Sunset Avenue. SCFD and Medic Ambulance are treating the patients while SCPD is conducting a full investigation. Southbound Sunset and Eastbound Pintail are temporary closed.

***Breast Cancer Support - Donation*** Today the Suisun City Fire Department donated all of the proceeds we raised in selling our pink SCFD breast cancer awareness t-shirts to the Solano Midnight Sun Breast Cancer Foundation. The generous community support raised $850.00 in proceeds from the t-shirt sales. The Solano Midnight Sun Breast Cancer Foundation is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides temporary financial assistance and resources to men and women in our loc...al community affected by breast cancer. Established in 2004, they are focused on aiding residents of Solano County who are facing financial hardship during cancer treatments. Due to Covid-19, they were unable to hold their annual fundraiser in August, that typically raises the bulk of their charitable giving to those battling breast cancer. SCFD is proud to support this amazing organization with our fundraiser and we appreciate and thank all those that bought t-shirts this year! Thank you for being Brave Enough To Wear Pink! -SCFD

*** 2nd Alarm Vegetation Fire *** SCFD is on scene of a Second Alarm Vegetation Fire on Railroad Avenue. Resources from Suisun City, Fairfield, Travis AFB, Vacaville City, and Medic Ambulance are all on scene mitigating the incident. Rio Vista Fire Department is currently covering the city and responding to 911 calls in Suisun.
