I like to thank all the emails received for the giveaway. This was tuff I read each and every inquiry. It made me realized how blessed I’m truly is. This weekend was awesome! My family and friends made donation to over 100 homeless and put smiles on their faces. I chose a winner on Saturday at the ending of the giveaway raffle. Congratulations, to Ms Linda, I like to share why I chose to go with this person. The giveaway wasn’t for paying off your rent or utilities bills it ...was for a family in need of assistance to do one thing and that was to celebrate Christmas with joy ( dinner, gifts, etc.) I like to share Linda’s photo receiving her $1500 cashiers check today. Again thank you for allowing myself, my family, and on behalf of all of us at Sugar Bear Plumbing Company to bring joy to your home this Christmas. Wishing you and your family happy holidays from all of us! See more

Mineral build-up along with rust and other debris can collect and clog the jet holes along the rim of your toilet preventing it from fully flushing.

If the water coming out of your faucet is anything other than clear, repairs may be needed. White or cloudy water indicates air in the pipes. Earthy colors like red, brown, or yellow indicate rust from a local water main break or rusted pipes. Green could mean the corrosion of copper pipes and blue would extreme corrosion. If your water is anything but clear, give us a call. (650) 583-3399

Most homeowners don't think to replace their water heater until it fails. Doing so leaves you in a rush for a replacement. Have your water heater inspected regularly so that you are able to plan for replacement allowing ample time to explore options.

When you find yourself standing ankle-deep in water after a shower, it's a sure sign that you've got a clog in your pipes. Think twice before grabbing a bottle of drain cleaner, however. While safe for occasional use on slow drains, drain cleaning chemicals can damage your pipes and lead to expensive repair bills. You can research other ways to clear a clog, or call a professional and prevent a bigger problem down the road. (650) 583-3399

The real problems occur when drains are left unprotected. Once a large item like a shampoo lid or a toy gets into a drain, you've got yourself a clogged sink drain. Repairs can become expensive and invasive. The best policy is to not underestimate the importance of these mundane devices. Keep sink drain stoppers, pop-ups, and crossbars in place and perform the required repairs when they fail.

If you smell gas around the water heater area, this is not normal. The thermocouple may have malfunctioned or there may be leaks in the rigid or flexible pipes leading to the heater. These leaks may be in the couplings or the pipes themselves. Call us immediately! (650) 583-3399

Are you using the right plunger? You may not know this but there are two different types of plungers a toilet plunger and a sink/shower plunger. Toilet plungers narrow at the bottom to fit into the toilet while sink/shower plungers are flat. If your plunger isn't working, maybe you're using the wrong one.

Everyone has to deal with a clogged toilet every once in a while, but if it seems like you’re constantly breaking out the plunger, there could be a deeper problemespecially if other fixtures are starting to back up. This could potentially be a sign that you have a clogged sewer or backed-up septic system. We want to help! Give us a call at (650) 583-3399

Mold growing in your home is never a good sign, but if you see mold sprouting on the cabinets or walls of a bathroom, you should start looking for a leaky pipe. Mold grows only in wet environments, and if there's excess moisture in the room, you need to find the source as quickly as possible. The professionals at Sugar Bear Plumbing Company are here to help! Unless you've just flushed it your toilet should be pretty quiet, so if you start to hear a gurgling noise, the fixture may be trying to tell you that there’s an underlying issue. Potential causes of a gurgling toilet include a blocked vent stack or even a blocked sewer line. If your toilet is being noisy, don't ignore it! Call us today. (650) 583-3399

Aside from the sound of rushing water, your pipes should be fairly quiet. But if you hear a rattling sound in your pipes, particularly right after you shut off a valve, it could be what’s called water hammer. This occurs when the flow of water abruptly stops or changes direction, creating a shock wave that can lead to banging noises and make loose pipes rattle. Possible causes include high water pressure or, in older houses, flooded air chambers in your plumbing system. Rattling noises can also be caused by poorly secured pipes. Call the professionals at Sugar Bear Plumbing Company today! (650) 583-3399
