Our Track and field athletes put everything they had into a rainy, cold Meet of Champions this past weekend, and now Gianna Troppy is headed to the State Meet in the High Jump, having successfully cleared heights to place third overall! Our boys 4x100 relay team was again the top VVAL relay, as they jumped five seed places and beat Marin Catholic and Bishop O’Dowd along the way to the top eleven. Our girls 4x100 relay team repeated their school record time, and also beat their seed. In tough rainy conditions, Conrad Say Jumped an impressive 20’10, and Landon Mispagel narrowly missed a state berth in a hard-fought finals race in the 110 hurdles. Congratulations to all, and continued good luck for Gianna next weekend!

Our Varsity Girls 4 x 100 relay team just broke the school record this Saturday at the NCS Championship meet with a time of 50.84, taking 2nd place!

Our team had an amazing meet at the NCS Championships on Saturday! Among the highlights, our Girls 4 x 100 relay team broke the school record with an exciting second place finish. Conrad Say won the long jump with a dominant 21’7 PR mark, along with a strong third place in the 100m (11.15). Sydney re-broke her new 400m school record, running 58.51 for second place, and took fifth to qualify in the 200m. Gianna doubled her success again, taking second in the high jump (5’...2) and third in the discus (113’2). Casey Potrebic really delivered in pole vaulting, with a 12’8 PR for second place, and Landon Mispagel ran a fast 14.92 for second in the 110 hurdles setting up a top four seed at the Meet of Champions!. The boys 4 x 100 (Solomone, Blake, Landon, Conrad) absolutely took care of business, qualifying in third place. Liam qualified in the High Jump at 7th, Jojo jumped a great PR (9’8) to secure her spot in the pole vault in 7th, and ran a solid PR in the 300 hurdles (49.49). Another BIG personal record was for Sam Boeschen, who won his heat in the 110h, dropping all the way to 16.66 from the 17’s. Blake Hoban set a strong PR in the 100m, taking second in his heat (11.59). Jenna Curtola matched her PR in High Jump, and anyone watching the Mile Relay saw athletes that understand how to deliver for their team by running their best. Our athletes ran strong and left everything on the course the girls (Catherine, Audrey, Bella and Sydney) set a new PR as a team, taking four seconds off their time (4:19.22), and all are only freshman or sophomores! The boys (Emilio, Austin, Brett, Will) joined them with 100% effort and great speed (a big thank you to Brett for the last minute rescue when the team needed a runner!) Equally amazing to qualifying 11 athletes to Meet of Champions, is that our girls team took third place overall, and our boys team was fourth, besting all Napa Valley Schools, and over 20 more north bay teams (including all of MCAL) in both divisions. Considering our school sizethis is incredible.
