If you met artist Shayla Putnum out at a @subzerofestival, you’ll be pleased to know you can now purchase her work @kaleidgallery . #rp @kaleidgallery Please join us in extending a warm welcome to our newest resident artist Shayla Putnam. ... Shayla spent her early, and formative years in east Idaho growing up with four older brothers, and two loving parents. She graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Ceramics and a Minor in Art History. During this time she showcased her art not only at the university but in Portland and Washington as well. One successful showing at the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Art (CCACA) brought her to California. This is when she relocated to the Bay Area. Since early 2018, she has been working in the community of San Jose, and mentoring with large-scale ceramic sculptor John Toki. You can view Shayla’s work in-person during gallery hours: Fridays 5pm9pm and Saturdays 12pm5pm. Free entry, social distancing and mask required.
