Doug Fenske is a Grammy-nominated recording engineer and producer who, for years, has worked out of Westlake Recording Studios in LA. During his tenure there he has worked with the likes of Quincy Jones, Britney Spears, CeeLo Green, and Snoop Dog. As an independent engineer, he has recorded and mixed for artists such as Frank Ocean, Burno Mars, and LL Cool J. Tune in to hear a conversation about his experience as an engineer/producer and his take on the nuts and bolts of the trade!

Spring cleaning here at Studio West! The slowdown in traffic has allowed us to perform some important maintenance and cleaning tasks with studio manager @nagytone at the helm. We will be improved and efficient whenever our county officials deem it safe to re-open our doors. Studio West misses all of you and will be prepared when our amazing San Diego creatives are allowed to return @ Studio West and The Recording Arts Center

Gregory is what I describe as a ‘musicians musician’. Although not a household name to millions of people, he counts some big industry names amongst his collaborators and admirers. He’s also incredibly eloquent when discussing the songwriting process and the extent of collaboration that is required to bring his artistic vision to reality.

Studio West and The Recording Arts Center tips our hat to the active and veteran servicepeople of our great nation. Nothing should stand in the way of veterans who desire to pursue an education after active duty. Studio West is pleased to announce that we are now able to accept the Post-9/11 GI Bill and a full range of associated benefits to study at The Recording Arts Center. The children of our veterans can access their parent’s VA benefits as well. We are here to help you pursue your artistic journey. Thank you for your service and welcome home! Kellogg is a recording engineer and mixer working for the Music Department of Sony PlayStation based in Santa Monica. In the 5 years he’s been with Sony, Kellogg has worked in many of the best recording studios around the world (Abbey Road, AIR Studios, Ocean Way Nashville and Capitols Studios, Los Angeles) as well as at Sony’s own studios in Santa Monica.
