Sunday’s sermon will be answering the questions: Does God care about complaining? Is complaining a sin, it a big deal, and how does it affect others? Service times: Morning: 10:45 am Evening: 5:30 pm

Life is stressful. Before you know it, we are losing patience and snapping at everyone. It’s easy to become unkind. Yet, we don’t know what’s going on in people’s lives. Striving to be kind will cause us to slow down and give others grace. This is important to consider, because people are under so much stress that half of the time they don’t even realize how unkind they’re being. However, we can be a light to those around us with the simple lesson of kindness. ______________..._______________________ La vida es estresante. We are far too independent. When we try to solve all of life’s problems on our own, we forfeit peace and joy as we fail to let God be God. We try to figure out things we have no business even touching with our minds. Nothing is too hard or too difficult for God, but many things are too hard for us. With the help and leading of the Holy Spirit, we can grow to the place where we rest in the truth that we know the One Who knows all the answers, even when we don’t, and we can tru...st Him! Sometimes I marvel at how long we can struggle in a situation before we think to talk to God about it. We complain about our problems; we grumble; we murmur; we tell our friends; and we talk about how we wish God would do something about it. We struggle with situations in our minds and in our emotions, while we often fail to take advantage of the simplest solution there is: prayer. But worse than that, we then make perhaps the most ridiculous statement known to man: Well, I ...guess all I can do is pray. I am sure you have heard that before, and maybe you have even said it. We are all guilty of treating prayer as a last-ditch effort and saying things like, Well, nothing else is working, so maybe we should pray. Do you know what that tells me? It tells me that we really do not believe in the power of prayer as we should. We carry burdens we do not need to bearand life is much harder than it has to bebecause we do not realize how powerful prayer is. If we did, we would talk to God and listen to what He says about everything, not as a last resort, but as a first response. So often we aim to please everyone. We focus our lives on what we can do to please others, make others happy, or be liked by everyone. Much of our time and energy is spent on this, yet we forget to please the one who matters most. Asking ourselves, Is God pleased with this action, word, etc. is so vital to our understanding of who God is. Who are we aiming to please? Muy a menudo nuestro objetivo es complacer a todos. Prayer for your enemies is one of the deepest forms of love, because it means that you have to really want that something good happen to them. You might do nice things for your enemy without any genuine desire that things go well with them. But prayer for them is in the presence of God who knows your heart, and prayer is interceding with God on their behalf. This is exactly what Jesus did as he hung on the cross. The phrase "fear not" is found over 300 times in the Bible. There’s one "fear not" for almost every day of the year. Do you really want to obey the scriptures and "fear not"?When God tells you He will be with you, that means no matter what the circumstances are like, everything will work out all right because God will never fail you or forsake you. We are all born for a purpose. We are not here by accident, but to fulfill a God’s purpose for our lives. We may have many plans for our lives, but as this verse says, the counsel of the Lord will stand." Sometimes God can change the direction we are going in. Sometimes it can be a radical change, or sometimes just a slight adjustment. We need to ask God to show us His purpose for our lives - what He wants us to do. He will show us and help us to take steps towards fulfillin...g it. Todos nacemos con un propósito. No estamos aquí por accidente, sino para cumplir el propósito de Dios para nuestras vidas. To sanctify is to set apart for the sole use of God. It means to be holy. Paul added that the One who called them is faithful and will do it. Paul mentioned in the letter to the Philippians that he had not yet attained perfection. But this is what God is faithfully doing in our lives. It is God who is at work sanctifying you.
