Seesaw Pushups combined with an Incline Chaos Press - learned both of these from Joe De Franco. Both of these force you to use more ‘stabilizer’ muscles. Do these slow and you might feel muscle working that you usually don’t use. On the seesaw’s you balance a bar on a DB while doing a push-up. If done right you’ll feel this in your rear delts and scapular retraction muscles (both need constant work to keep your posture right)... The incline chaos press is a good way to ‘learn’ how to squeeze your shoulder blades when pressing. Try these as an activation for a big press. Or as a quick finisher for something different.

A client that is seeing awesome results asked me last week why she was super tired all the time. She feels she's doing everything right, but she's lethargic 24/7. This is one of those 'x-ray questions' I get from time to time.... Like, "Why does my lower back hurt?" Or "My shoulder doesn't feel right?" And "Why is my body fat not going down?" I need 'x-ray vision' for these types of questions... I need to know your sleep patterns, water intake, food, food, workouts, and food. So in today's email, let me 'carpet bomb' this question and give you my top 7 ways you can instantly boost your energy: ONE >>> Eat as many nutrients as you can Or in other words, have variety in your foods. And Instead of just eating eggs, oatmeal, chicken, rice, asparagus - add in some bell peppers, carrots, cinnamon, garlic, berries, kale, spinach, coco aminos. Then be sure to take Vitamin D (5,000 IU per day), some type of Omega 3 (Krill Oil or wild-caught Fish Oil), and Magnesium (500-1,000 mg per day). TWO >>> Meditate In one way or another, take 5-10 minutes out of your morning and ground your throughts. Ask yourself... What are you going to accomplish that day? What are you grateful for? THREE >>> Water Just drink it already FOUR >>> Sleep Go to bed earlier and stay busy during the day. Limit your Netflix and Phone-scrolling. I WAS WRONG The year's not over - but it's been crazy. To be honest, I've contemplated making big changes... The pandemic had me thinking "maybe everyone just wants to workout from home now"? And then the shut downs. The fear. The masks. I thought, maybe gyms are 'done' forever (?)... That's crazy Doesn't even sound right. The truth is, I was making a common mistake in 2020: I was willing to make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings. Temporary feelings - because this too shall pass. We're not out of this yet. But let's face it, who knows if we ever will be? That's why you can't live in fear. Scrolling through social media all day. News on repeat. And you can't keep waiting... For permission, validation, the elections. If you want something, do it now. Because if you keep waiting for one thing to be over - another thing will take its place right away. And someone else will live the life you always wanted. Adversity only makes you more resilient. And now more than ever, we need people who are strong, courageous.
