St. Mark's Catholic Church

This was fun doing! They asked me questions about the beginning of my faith journey and vocation. It was crazy reminiscing about the crazy Santa Barbara life I lived but also recalling the blessed moments growing closer to Christ and discovering, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, that I was called to be a priest. As crazy as the chapter of Santa Barbara was, that was the place I decided to discern for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. If it wasn’t for St. Mark’s, I would probably ...be a priest for the Diocese of Monterey I do laugh at what Pablo Kay wrote, Reyes admitted he took part in what might be described as a somewhat Augustinian existence. I’ll let y’all figure out what that means On a side note: They put in there I attended UCSB. Contrary to popular belief I never attended UCSB. I was suppose to transfer there but I ended dropping out of SBCC and working full time. I’m still a Gaucho at heart though Also, I’m super thankful for my second home parish of St. Mariana De Paredes Catholic Church who helped nourish and sustain my vocation and helped me fall in love with parish ministry. I’m also thankful for my internship parish of Mission Basilica San Buenaventura who helped me fall deeper in love with parish life and parish ministry. The running joke is that I have a million home parishes but St. Mark’s, St. Mariana and Mission Basilica San Buenaventura are the main ones Posted @withregram @lacatholics There was always something about helping people in Louie’s mind.
