Today is a Memorial Saturday. We've served the Divine Liturgy here at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church and we've prayed for our departed parish founders, benefactors, family members and all those who have died witnessing the Gospel of Christ. May their memory be eternal!

Greetings and blessings to you all from St. George Serbian Orthodox Church on this 21st Sunday after Pentecost. Thank you for your support of St. George ministries! You continue to help us proclaim the risen Lord to our neighbors. To my beloved parishioners and friends, ... you all remain in my daily prayers. You inspire me to proclaim our risen Lord to all. With appreciation and love, Fr. Bratso Krsic

One of the hidden treasures within today’s parable (St. Luke 8:5-15; 21st Sunday after Pentecost) is that soil can be improved. Hard soil can be watered and plowed. Rocks and thorns can be removed. The soil of our heart can become fertile and productive once again through prayer, repentance and confession. These three things can change our heart so that when we hear word of God preached, we neither criticize nor compliment, but rather we decide and we follow-up on our decision so that the change in our heart becomes the change in our life.
