Steen Chiropractic: COVID-19 Status During this unprecedented time, the person best equipped to take care of you, is you. Dr. Steen remains open with limited office hours and appointments can be made online. Strict hygienic practices are employed at every point of patient contact. Treatment surfaces will be disinfected between each patient. Consistent hand washing will take place after any interaction with patients. At the same time, he asks that if / when you come to the off...ice that you wash your hands immediately upon arriving and before leaving. We will space appointments out as much as possible to limit interaction. You can check in and then wait outside if additional space is needed to meet social distancing guidelines. We ask our patients to stay home if they’re not feeling well (Fever, Cough, Shortness of Breath). Obviously, if you have been out of the country or you have been exposed to someone with COVID-10 you should not come to the office to seek treatment at this time. As Dr. Steen attends to urgent cases he will keep up to date with prevention recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Contra Costa County Health Services in regard to COVID-19. Doctors of chiropractic are primary contact healthcare providers who provide essential care, including, but not limited to, managing acute and urgent musculoskeletal conditions. These services are critical for helping triage and manage cases that otherwise may end up in emergency rooms. Chiropractic care can positively impact healthcare providers, first responders and critical infrastructure, including transportation that supports healthcare and food supplies during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This office will not require use of personal protective equipment that healthcare workers are in critical need of at this time and we ask that you donate these items to our local hospitals if you have them in your possession.
