Another beautiful morning here at SCS. Grooming her for day #2 of the 1:5 Scale U.S. Nationals / World Challenge. All natural bite, no spray already into the 19 second laps on day #1. Here we go, get in and pull those straps tight and let’s see what today brings us.

Who’s ready to burned some two stroke fuel and lay down some rubber. One week from today at SCS we kick off with controlled practice for the 2020 1:5 Scale U.S. Nationals. SCS has received shipment of V.P. Powermix gasoline and FG Supply has received they’re shipment of GRP & PMT tires. So no excuses of why you’re not there helping us use it up. Chime in and let us know how low you think the lap times will go, who’s your favorite Luis Diaz from Mexico, Fernando Requejo from Venezuela, Luis Rinzivillo from Florida, Santoshi Takesako from Japan. Or will it be one of the locals that stand atop the podium, maybe one of our 1:8 scale regulars in a rental ride ? Don’t be late !!

I am sure many of our racing fans have heard the news this morning that Auto Club Speedway plans to reconfigure the current 2 mile oval into a half mile high banked short track. There is a proposed site plan that has been shown to how the new facility will look. These plans do not impact Steel City R/C Speedway in the foreseeable future. Once we know more we will let everyone know. We look forward to racing at SCS in 2021 and beyond.

URGENT INFORMATION! This coming weekend weather forecast are calling for anywhere from 110 to 114 degrees ambient temperature. This would make asphalt temperature anywhere from 150 to 175 degrees. Due to these extreme temperatures SCS will be closed this coming weekend. We will resume open practice on Saturday 9/12/20.

Here is an update to our 1:5 scale U.S. Nationals car classes. As you will notice this is all rubber tire so the bite should go through the roof. Who will be the first in the 19 second range for STC and just how low can we go !
