Here’s a Fun Fact. In a criminal defense case, Abraham Lincoln once famously sought judicial notice of the fact, reported in an Almanac, that at the exact time of the murder, the crescent moon was very low on the horizon, and thus the key witness could not possibly have had enough light to identify the defendant from 150 ft. away by the light of the moon, as he had testified. Lincoln’s client was acquitted. Amazing!
