St. Benedict Catholic Worker

On Sunday, November 1, the St.Benedict Catholic Worker will be observing the Day of the Deal with an offrendaan altar to honor those who have diedon the front... porch of the St. Benedict Catholic Worker. We, at the Catholic Worker, are inviting all that would like to participate in this observance of the Day of the Dead, to bring a picture of their deceased loved one to put on the decorated altar. If you would like to add to the decorations on the offrendathings like a copy of a picture of your loved one (which we will hang on the tree of life on the altar), your loved ones favorite food to share (snack, candy, etc.), battery operated candles, or any other decorations, pleas bring them to put on the offrenda. Stop by, place your rememberance on the offrenda and invite, through prayer, the presence of those we love, who have gone before us on the journey. We seek the blessing of their loving presence among us, to guide us and and protect us. We will have holy cards available for you and Day of the Dead bread for you to take (until we run out). The offrenda, the altar, will be available for visitation and participation Sunday afternoon November 1 at 2pm through Monday, November 2, at midnight. During these times, we must rely on our faith, each other and our loved ones, who have passed and continue to intercede for us., to help us during these very difficult times. We welcome all.
