Lead can be found in many workplace environments! Lead in adults can increase your blood pressure, decrease brain function, decrease kidney function, and have other bad health impacts. Some jobs where you may work with lead:... Repairing or remodeling homes built before 1978 Disturbing paint on buildings, bridges, or tanks Recycling scrap metal or electronics Working at a shooting range Making or repairing radiators or recycling batteries You can take lead home to your family too! If you work with lead, change out of your work clothes and shoes and wash or shower before coming home. Your employer is supposed to tell you if you are working with lead and provide training and safety equipment to protect you. If you’re not sure if you work with lead, ask your employer or get more information so that you and your family stay safe! https://www.cdph.ca.gov//CDPH%20Document%/LeadHazAlert.pdf https://www.cdph.ca.gov//CDPH%20Docum/LeadHazAlertSpan.pdf
