This year we weren't able to take the kids shopping or host our family dinner after, but we found a way to still bring joy, cheer, and family dinner to the families of Riverbank! Thank you to everyone who helped make Shop with a Cop a success. Until next year when we can gather again <3

December 17, 2020 Official Release Traffic deputies assigned to Riverbank Police Services and the Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team, are currently investigating a tragic vehicle accident that took place on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 at about 2:30 pm. It occurred near the intersection of Patterson Rd and Hot Springs Ln in Riverbank.... Preliminary investigative findings show one vehicle was entering the north-side of Patterson Rd just east of Hot Springs Ln. This vehicle, which was a Lincoln Town Car, pulled into the path of a west-bound traveling Toyota Corolla for unknown reasons. The west-bound traveling vehicle broadsided the vehicle entering from the north side of Patterson Rd. Both drivers were transported to local area hospitals by ambulance. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle entering the roadway from the north-side of Patterson Rd succumbed to their injuries late last night. The driver’s name is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification. The investigation is still ongoing. Alcohol and/or drug impairment are not believed to be contributing factors.
