Hey rodeo fans, even though we had to skip this years rodeo please join us in supporting our faithful sponsors. They could use our support in these chaotic times. Stop by The broken yolk cafe for a yummy mimosa or Bloody Mary and say thanks.

The Kern County Reserve Sheriff’s Association would like to thank all those who came out to the 34th Annual Stampede Days Rodeo May 3 and 4. Approximately 4,000 people visited the rodeo this year, and everyone had a great time. This important event helps raise money for the Sheriff’s Reserve Deputies who provide their own equipment and training. The Reserves that serve in every community in Kern County save the citizens more than $200,000 by donating their time to patrol the... streets and serve in numerous other functions that otherwise a full-time deputy would have to fill. This frees up full-time staff to patrol the streets, and serve the citizens of Kern County. We want to thank the Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association who we partnered with to produce the rodeo this year. We also had the Exceptional Kids Rodeo produced by the Miss Rodeo Kern County Pageant and Kern County Sheriff’s mounted posse, on Saturday which was a great event and brought individuals from all over the county with disabilities to experience the rodeo world and cowboy way of life. The event was free to those who participated, and we had a great response from the community. Approximately 66 special needs children participated, and made for a great event. If you would like to get involved in the rodeo by either volunteering or sponsoring next year please call us at 661-391-7668. The Kern County Sheriff’s Reserve Association is a non-profit 501c3.
