We'd like to invite the community to a "Run with the Cops" event hosted by the Santa Paula Police Officers' Association. This semi-monthly group run winds through the streets of historic Santa Paula. It's about 3 miles, non-competitive and fun for all ages. Coffee, refreshments and mingling with the cops is free. The next event is Saturday, 11/2/19 at 0830. Meet at the Santa Paula Police Memorial on Santa Barbara Street next to the historic train depot.
Come join us for a fun run through the historic streets of Santa Paula on November 2nd

This great man is a very close friend and pillar of the Santa Paula Community. Sergeant Jimmy Fogata is a cop's cop. Big, bold, smart and tough as nails. He's a 30- year veteran, revered by the citizens we serve and personifies the term "Community Cop". This last year he's had to deal tremendous health issues. To cap it off, he had a heart attack on Monday. And while he'd never ask for it, he now needs our help. We are going to hold a tri-tip dinner fundraiser for him on Frid...ay, 1/27 (details below). The fire department is cooking and the cops are serving. Great food for a great case. Please consider attending and making a contribution. The event will be on Friday January 27th, at the Santa Paula community center (530 W. Main St) from 4PM to 7PM. We'll be serving a tri-tip/chicken dinner where you can get food to go or eat inside the community center. The cost of the dinner will be a donation of $20.00 or more. Our hope is that the entire community of Santa Paula will show up in mass to support Jimmy and his family. If you would like to make a donation, you can make a check to Santa Paula Police Officers Association (SPPOA). You can either drop the check off to Chief Steve McLean at the police department or you can send the check to Santa Paula Police Department, 214 S. 10th Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060. If you have any questions, you can contact the Chief directly at 805-525-4474 ext 122. We thank you in advance for your donations
This coming Saturday, August 13th at 10:00 we will be unveiling the third threshold of memorial bricks at the Santa Paula Police Memorial on Santa Barbara Street. It will be a very small and informal event thanking those who contributed to the memorial bench project and unveil new bricks. Six past bricks were updated on the east and south thresholds. We will have coffee and donuts (of course). Everyone is invited!
To kick off the 2016 National Police Week, the City of Santa Paula will be re-dedicating our Police Memorial.
Please join us on Saturday, 5/14/16 at 10:00 for the re-dedication of the Santa Paula Police Memorial. It has been five years since the initial dedication and this year we will be unveiling two benches at the Police Memorial Park to honor the memory of Officer Kimberley Hemminger and Reserve Officer David Bartlett. We hope you can attend. The ceremony takes place in the 900 block of east Santa Barbara St. between the historic train depot and gazebo. To our loyal Santa Paula Police Memorial 5k Runners: We have not scheduled a 2016 5k event at this time. We may have an opportunity to combine our event with another organization to boost participation. I will write about it as soon as information is available. - Brad
