Did you know that women control 51% of all personal wealth in the United States?

Just have to put this out there. If you already voted you dont need to read further. We as hunters and outdoors people have an opportunity every 4 years for a major election to maybe make chance; at least to have a voice. I read on Facebook for years guys complaining about gun law restrictions, ammo restrictions, gun bands, etc. Now is your time on or before Nov 3rd. If you are not registered or voting you are part of the problem. Saying you don't have time is a bad excuse as... it takes less time to register and vote then taking a trip shopping to Bass Pro's. What to vote- Republican Party Lines. Democrats will continue to take away your rights and your guns. Also vote on propositions- pretty much every one is no as it will raise your taxes and/or create more bureaucracy. Especially No on Proposition 15 or we won't have any farmers or small businesses left in CA. Go here to register now! https://registertovote.ca.gov/ See more

Great Morning. My son Matt went back to an area we hunted opening weekend that I posted a story "Disappointment." (you can read it on my Facebook Page- scroll down to Oct 7th.) Well it's a new day and you just have to grind...and have a little luck! He took a nice 4 x 3 Cali public land mule deer that we have had eye's on for a couple months. So proud of the hunter he has become. Only thing better was if I was there to help, but that's what is cool he doesn't really need my help anymore- just companionship. He has become a Mature Hunter. God is good... Little update buck measured 27 1/2 wide. Check out www.sportsmansfinancialadvisor.com Let’s go Hunting, Fishing and Enjoy the Great Outdoors’s Together. Well opening day on Public Land was very disappointing for us (to say it nicely!!) and another buddy I talked to. I wish some hunters would get more educated on how to hunt deer. Personally since I was young I would read every book I could about deer hunting, listen to guides and learn from others and of course learn from my mistakes. A buddy and friend was hunting an area previously scouted and located bucks and trying to put a game plan together to hunt when an uninformed... individual just went stopping through the area to shoot a deer and blew them all out. We had a similar experience on our opener also. We where back in an area we had previously scouted and relocated a couple bucks on a hill with thick cover all around them and where we saw them bed previously. We were trying to figure out a game plan with the wind and cover when we notice 3 hunters who had been walking in hunting three abreast from 2 miles away with the breeze at their backs!!! Soon they approached the ridge and hill where we had seen some bucks bedded (bummer). All we could do was watch through our glass...With their scent right to the deer, bucks started blowing off the hill in front and to the side of them. One big 4x4 buck jumped up about 40 yds. from one guy and he never saw him. I counted at least 8 deer bailing off the hill. Nobody stopped, raised a gun, a finger or pointed.... Soon they made it to the top of the hill and one guy took off his pack and wiped the sweat off his brow and started looking around with his binoculars not realizing he was standing 20 yds. from where 6 bucks had been bedded down! Bucks are not stupid and have escape cover already in every direction and they definitely use every sense to escape danger. So we go back later and hopefully bucks are back in there, but they totally blew out that area with their opening day hunt. So I am sorry, but when I see a guy post on Facebook that he walked 13 miles and didn't see a deer- now you know why that makes me cringe!!
