Sports Gift

Thank you Laura Benson for taking some sports supplies to Ethiopia and sharing them with these kids who love soccer!!

Instead of getting birthday presents at his recent birthday party, 9 year old Matthew Feibush of Laguna Niguel, CA requested sports gifts for less fortunate children! He donated all these brand new sports items for children in need of sports gifts to us. What a mature boy! When I asked him why he did this he said he has a lot of toys and wanted to collect gifts for those less fortunate.

This is from Erika Koizumi who was an intern at Sports Gift when she attended Soka University. I am in Ecuador now working as a Peace Corps Volunteer. The application process took a long time but I'm finally here working:) I wanted to thank you for writing recommendation for my application (that was in 2013). I live in a small indigenous community where poverty is still prevalent. I am doing health promotion, teaching community members about nutrition, hygiene and sex ed. I also play soccer with kids! Sports Gift donated girl's softball equipment to begin a new program at an orphanage in Ivano-Frankivsk Region of Ukraine. These pictures were taken today. The girls were elated to receive these amazing items!!
