Electric Sky Blue Spirulina is a natural blue pigment which is derived from algae. The best news is that it has anti-infla...mmatory and anti-oxidant benefits! I included it in my cocktail but it has many other applications such as cake icing, ice cream, or any food you would like to make more vibrant! SHOCK FACTER @servedbysoberon : BLEEDING BLUE - 60ml/2oz Blue Cheese-infused Clairin Communal - 45ml/1.5oz Yoghurt... - 22,5/0.75oz Lime Juice - 15ml/0.5oz Passionfruit Syrup - 1 barspoon Pomegranate Molasses - Pulp of half a passionfruit - Pinch of Electric Sky (Spirulina by @spirainc) - - - - - HOW: Shake all ingredients apart from the Spirulina Algae Powder with crushed ice / Dirty dump it in a large glass / Add more ice / Top with powder / Poke a bit for that bleeding effect / Garnish. - - - - - It's time for a new @homebarawards entry! It's been a couple of months since my last (May I think!) and I'm glad to be back in the game! This month's challenge was all about 'It's Alive!', and it definitely got me going with some fun stuff . . First up is the use of Blue Cheese made with cultures of the mold 'Penicillium', which I infused Haitian Clairin . . Next up: yoghurt produced using a culture of Lactobacillus delbrueckii (subsp. bulgaricus) and Streptococcus thermophilus bacteria. Are we getting thirsty yet ? . And finally, for shock-effect, and because BLUE! Electric Sky powder made from Spirulina, a biomass of cyanobacteria (blue-green algae). . All together shaken up with Lime, Passionfruit and Pomegranate Molasses to create what I consider, one of my most 'beautifully ugly' drinks to date!
