Glenn Cash purchased our Super Sport interior back in 2019. His original interior was a Sport which has the wider flat console so he opted to move the block to the outside of the console leg and reuse the original holes. He added a bow ra this year and just purchased a new stainless Bimini top as well. Hope you get a few more trips out this season! "Hi Amanda! I thought you’d like to see how my rub rail install came out. I made a couple mistakes but was able to drill out the bad rivets very easily like you said. FYI I didn’t need a hair dryer or heat gun, just the 4 DeWalt clamps were enough. You have to put horizontal and vertical pressure on the two piece rail in order to marry it to the gunnel shape. ... Just wanted to thank you for all of the time you spent helping me. No one these days have good customer service but you do. I was also able to find all of the screws and finishing washer at Ace Hardware. I decided to use a small nylon washer under the finishing washer so it doesn’t cut into the mahogany. They don’t go beyond the circumferences of the washers either for looks. Thanks again. "As promised, I am attaching a couple of photos of the completed project of installing Specialty Marine woodwork in a 1988 Boston Whaler 15. I had to make a small adjustment in the seat width because my hull was slightly undersized. Since the cut was hidden by the side clamp, the cut edge is not visible which is good since it is nearly impossible to blend the new varnish with the old. The most difficult part was installing the new steering cable but, on your recommendation of... keeping it straight in the console and with the help of some pipe clamps, it all aligned perfectly. To keep the battery out of the weather and reduce clutter in the stern, I mounted the battery in the seat back cabinet. To prevent the plastic from distorting from the weight, I added a sturdy rubber foot on the underneath side of the cabinet beneath the battery. The anchor locker cover is all that remains of the original 1988 mahogany seats. "Time to get up to standard regarding navigation lighting. The old anchor light worked just fine but it was way too short. Wasn't possible to see it from the front and if looked to the rear it blinded me. New ordered from Specialty Marine -delivered from US to Norway in 5 days (impressive - Amazon uses 3-4 weeks).
