As 2020 comes to a close, this message is a gentle reminder to give yourself a flippin’ break. It tends to be a time of reflection, and this year is definitely one for the books. Instead of saying why did this specific circumstance happen to me, try rephrasing that into what is this circumstance trying to teach me? The hard truth is that 2020 was basically a magnified glass of what you already were. You were just stripped away of everything you hide behind. Imagine yourse...lf as a parallel to what is happening to the world right now, and we all must go through the darkest of times to see the light. I believe it’s been a hard lesson on the exterior to let go what we can no longer control, and to take a deep look within yourself and think about what you are able to control. And the only thing that you have the reigns on is YOURSELF! Be gentle on yourself, no one has all the answers to chaos, and be compassionate to others as they may being going through a battle that is not obvious on the external. One lesson I learned this year is that fighting, fear, and isolation are not the answers. No one is going to wake up until they are ready, and shoving beliefs down another’s throats does such a disservice. Love, joy, and being of service to others is where we gain strength. Stepping out of fear and choosing to step into love.
