The Magic of Aladdin Comes to Inglewood La Tijera Academy of Excellence TK-8 hosted the musical Aladdin, last weekend. Students worked very hard on this production, from learning their scripts, to developing the set over several months. Students and staff worked tirelessly to present this musical to their school community, while enriching their creativity. We want to thank everyone who participated and attended the play. Echoes of Hope Bring Holiday Cheer to Inglewood Students Through the generosity of Our Echoes of Hope and its Co-Founders, Stacia and Luc Robitaille, Payne STEAM Academy scholars from Mrs. Mecolick’s 1st/2nd Grade class and Mrs. Clarke’s 4th Grade class, received a new toy, a new pair of socks, and a book. Stacia and Luc were also gracious enough to visit both classes to read to them. The commitment from these scholars for the iReady Winter Challenge meant the holiday season of giving came early. SoFi Stadium Congratulates the Los Angeles Dodgers After a 32-year wait, the Los Angeles Dodgers win the 2020 World Series. Los Angeles defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 in a decisive Game 6 on Wednesday night. Congratulations, what an exciting accomplishment. Sofi Stadium celebrated the night by turning on the lights. The Westchester Family YMCA and IUSD Partner Together to Help Our Youth The Westchester Family YMCA and Inglewood Unified School District are hosting a new Distance Learning Care for families. This initiative will provide parents peace of mind that their children will be cared for M-F 7:00 am 6:00 pm while parents are at work; furthermore, will eliminate the digital divide, and provide a healthy and safe environment for our kids to learn, grow and thrive.
