Creating Your Own Work with Sydney Walsh Sydney Walsh is an actor, teacher and director living in Los Angeles. Her love of the avant-garde has inspired her to explore the art of theatrical story telling. Sydney has directed and worked on creating three original pieces for the Los Angeles Fringe Festival: A one-man spoken word piece, "California Calling," that has toured the states; A full length work for five actors based on the novel, Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf; and cur...rently, "The Inner Below," an actor's piece combining theatre, dance and music. All of these works started with an idea... a feeling.... a hunch.... a dream...and then we go from there. In group work, actors will use viewpoints, improvisation, interviews, imaginative play and collage to find the piece living inside of them.
