Each year Soroptimist International of The Sierras Womens Club located in Oakhurst, California awards THREE scholarships for ladies in the local area attending college, vocational school (or online) and are the head of household with a financial hardship. Proof of college registration is required before monies are given. Soroptimist International of The Sierras award three recipients $1000, plus a beyond the cash award of $100. fuel card each year in April. The Live Your Dream Awards scholarship application cycle is OPEN from August 1 November 15 each year. She is an outstanding young lady, senior in high school making a difference in our community! She is part of the Miss Merced County, Miss California and Miss America Teen pageant program which provides scholarships for women.
