Sandy Green hosted an abstract portrait class in this beautiful outdoor setting at a Sonoma art gallery. Mentors and mentees took some time to get outdoors, pick up their paintbrush, and let their imagination take over. It was a day of letting go, getting in touch with their inner thoughts, and putting those thoughts onto a canvas. Thank you Sandy, Shiloh Sophia of Musea Art Studio and mentors and mentees for a day of much-needed creativity!

Charlie Appelstein, MSW, Youth Care Training Specialist, and Author of No Such Thing As a Bad Kid, hosted an informative forum for Mentors and Educators on September 30th. The timing couldn’t have been better for an inspirational uplifting presentation about supporting our youth during these challenging times. Charlie’s message is to help youth find their strengths, believe that each child has a special gift, and bring hope & humor to every meeting you have with youth. I ...want to let you know how much I enjoyed Charlie Appelstein's presentation. I saw my mentee today and started to implement some of what he was saying, like praising them for something that went well during the week. In addition, I began a project of making a vision board with Carolina. I learned so much about her today that I felt like our relationship jumped to a new level. Thank you so much for sharing Mr. Applestein." ~Mentor, Nancy See more
