Hey, Seawolves & Sonoma County, #SonomaState now has a Ballot Box on campus! The box is located near the flagpoles at the front entrance of campus and is available for any California state registered voter to use. You can securely cast your vote at any time until 8 p.m. on November 3. Any California ballot can be dropped here! Please socially distance and wear a mask when on campus dropping off your ballot.

Growing up in a small, rural central California town, Sonoma State University student Therese Azevedo has always defied expectations. While at SSU, the first-generation senior statistics major is helping others do the same, volunteering to mentor middle-grade girls on behalf of STEM programs and conducting research on math anxiety. In recognition of her resolve along the path to college success, Azevedo is one of 23 students to receive a prestigious Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement for 2020, the highest student recognition given by the California State University. However, due to poor air quality in the Rohnert Park area, all non-essential on-campus activities are suspended for Thursday, October 1. Telework and virtual instruction will continue.
