**Special Message from the Sonoma County Fair Board of Directors President** During this very special time of the year, I wanted to reach out to our community and say thank you from the Sonoma County Fair Board and staff, for all your support of the Fair and other events throughout the year. Please know that we are making preparations for the 2021 Fair and are hopeful that a robust distribution of the Covid-19 vaccine will allow us to open our gates to you at the 2021 Fair!... We are cautiously optimistic and will be making the final decision about the event in late February or early March. Although we are in the planning stages of the 2021 Fair, we are also working on a back-up plan for our agricultural youth and the animals they have raised in the event we are unable to produce the Fair. I hope the new year brings you health, happiness and a return to all the wonderful activities that have been tucked away during this difficult time. Have a wonderful Holiday Season. A recent Press Democrat article that appeared in the Saturday November 28th edition stated that the " County Fair May Not run in 2021" While this is a possibility, NO decision has been made at this point and we are working on plans for a 2021 Fair. We are cautiously optimistic about the roll-out of the Covid-19 Vaccine and its timing to allow gatherings such as the Sonoma County Fair. We are anticipating making a decision regarding the 2021 Fair in February or March. We greatly appreciate our community's continuous support and cannot wait to welcome you all back to the Fair!!

The Sonoma County Fair Family lost a giant in our industry with the passing of Art Ibleto, the Pasta King. Art passed away on November 24 at the age of 94. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Art has been a fixture at the Sonoma County Fair for many years. Multiple generations of Sonoma County residents and visitors have enjoyed Art's delicious signature Pasta King pasta from the Spaghetti Palace at the County Fair & Harvest Fair. The Spaghetti Palace opened at ...the Fair in 1974, and has been a beloved staple and landmark at the Fair ever since. Art was a Western Fairs Association Blue Ribbon recipient in 2008 and was also honored by the Sonoma County Harvest Fair in 2012 with the Lifetime Contribution to Sonoma County Agriculture award. Art was a bighearted gentleman and extremely dedicated to making our community better. He will forever be remembered for being an unbelievable happy, kind, community minded, generous, inspirational, energetic, and ultimate force of nature. We at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds will miss him dearly, but we are so thankful for everything that he has given to this community and for making the Fair a special place. Always in spirit-long live "the Pasta King"

Tis the season to be Thankful!!! What a year 2020 has been!! We here, at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, were devastated that we were not able to put on our annual Sonoma County Fair for our community! However, we are so thankful that we could continue to support our community with our virtual livestock auction, Drive Thru Food Frenzy, and emergency activation for COVID-19 and the wildfire season.... We just wanted to take a quick second this Thanksgiving season to say THANK YOU! We are thankful to be part of this amazing community and we are so thankful for YOU!! Thank you for being a part of our Fair family and part of our amazing community!! All of us at SCF, want to wish you and your family a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
