Inspiration is invaluble. Sometimes I get so stuck just doing my thing that I forget to mix it up. Maybe that's what will bring me back into social media...I like the softness in this shot. Chihuly is my jam.
There's just something purely joyful about a sunny summer day. We had a great one for this shot just outside of Nicasio Ranch in CA.
Took a hiatus from social. Sometimes you just have to focus on the road ahead. I've been building new business frontiers while clumsily managing first time motherhood and the story is that sometimes I'm doing the best I can and that it's OK to let go. I told myself that I wanted to feel good about posting to social again. I didn't want the stress from algorithm changes to add to my current load. So this is a post about finding peace and a new tune. One that's more about wanting to do this rather than feeling obliged to do it. Plus, I love this shot and it'd be a shame not to keep sharing these slivers of art that I love to make. And yes, I'm still booking weddings for 2020
The weather is heating up in NOLA and as I prepare to head back to California I find myself daydreaming of foggy SF days. My darling friend Suzanne had the quintessential SF wedding atop Twin Peaks with fog just kissing the mountain. This epic affair will always be one of my all time favorites.
Once upon a time I shot a very pretty style shoot at Pret a Fete's party rental shop in NOLA. I wanted to go old Hollywood for a minute and had fun with it
NOLA has some magic; even the wind has rainbows ;). There's a power of attraction here unlike any other city I've ever known. For Kristin & Nick it was a mission to elope in NOLA, so when weather impacted their flight, they just decided to DRIVE all the way from Vermont to meet their destiny. Their elopement was epic. It was capturing pure, clear, cool and classy love, plus I got to work with my best friend, Ashely. I can't ask for any better way to spin some art.
When you ask him to think about the moment they first met...sigh. God, I love that wistful look.
There's only a handful of occasions in your life that bring YOUR people all together from every corner. A wedding is an opus of your life and I love capturing every moment.
Light is everything. The sun is just starting to shine and spring is on my mind. This shot was from a short flower series I photographed at Race & Religious.
Gotta love a gorgeous dress at an epic venue. Have to say I'm a bit biased, since I myself got married at Race & Religious.
I love mermaids. Don't you? This is what "pura vida" in Costa Rica looks like.
Have you found your personal corner in the world? For Myles and Chris it's the Hammer Theater. About an hour after this pic was taken, these halls were filled with music from their wedding. It was quite the show
