Palomar Solar Del Mar Re-Roof and 16 LG375W Panel Installation We completed a clean roof and solar installation in Del Mar. We started out the project with a complete reroof. This home has flat roofs, so we used two layers of rolled out torchdown roof material. In order to maximize production, we opted to go with LG375W solar panels with Enphase microinverters. The 16 panels lay out in two clean rows of eight with a 10 degree tilt and face 180 due south. The panels are mounted on the second story roof so shading from trees and surrounding structures will not put a damper on solar production. From our consultant, Bowie Rozema... Jay and Evelyn R. contacted us with an interest in both solar and roofing for their home. After seeking out multiple bids, they decided to move forward with our team. They loved the fact that we hold both C-10 and C-39 licenses, and that both the solar and roofing scopes of the project are all done in house. Though their electric bill wasn’t the highest, going solar was something they both really wanted to do, and the fact that their roof... was ready for replacement they thought it was the right time. Jay and Evelyn moved forward with a 3.78 kW system with the Enphase IQ microinverter technology. They recently received authorization to operate and they couldn’t be more excited. But this crew so professional, very courteous, all excellent at Customer satisfaction. They arrived each day, worked their tails off, hot or not. Cleaned up every night, you never knew they were working on my roof. They all had great things to say about Palomar Roofing and Solar. They truly were amazing. Bowie, I was a Service Manager for a large company for 39 years, and I always drove CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, making the Customer feel special, and the end result was their true satisfaction. Palomar Solar 16 LG in San Clemente Another clean Palomar Solar installation using 16 LG all-black solar panels. The panels are married to Enphase Micro Inverters which includes Per Panel Monitoring. We went with 16 panels because it not only gave the customer 30% more power which was needed but also maxed out the 100amp Main Electric Panel. With a 100amp Main Electric Panel we can backfeed 20amps of solar which allows up to 16 panels. We also did a comp...lete reroof and used a lightweight tile. Many home owners think their roof is in good shape and would not need to be replaced, but after this roof was stripped there was a significant amount of rotten wood from termites and water. We installed compostion shingle on the roof where the solar is installed then came back and picture framed the solar panels. When we install solar on a roof with brittle roof material such as clay and light weight concrete tile we always install the solar to composition and picture frame the solar to ensure no leaks. This installation laid out with four rows of four on landscape and looks very nice. We installed an LG 30 panel roof mounted solar system at a customer’s house in Ramona. This home had a great south facing roof making it near ideal for a PV Solar System. The 9.6kW system is built using 30 LG solar panels and 30 Enphase micro inverters. Per Panel Monitoring is always included with all Palomar Solar Systems, this allows our customers to see their investment work at the panel level in order to confirm the system is always operating at its peak performance. ... Aesthetics were important to this customer, so we were able to have a clean layout with 3 rows of 10 all black panels. The existing main service electric panel was 200amp and did not require any modifications to tie in. The concrete flat tile roof was 25 years old, so although there were no current leaks or issues, we recommended that when installing a 25+ year solar system, having a roof with enough life to last the life of the system is financially beneficial long-term. Installing solar on an aged roof can lead to leaks and ultimately having to reroof, which then requires the solar to be uninstalled and reinstalled adding significant cost and hassle. By doing the roof before the project, we avoid doing it later where it could take up to a month or more where the system is not producing power. Again, that is more money lost. This customer understood the value of having a solid roof to install solar on and is very happy with the new roof and solar.
