Hello SBC Family! We are excited to announce that today the county has issued the permit so that we can build two 1000sf shade/rain structures. These will allow our customers to visit us comfortably, rain or shine! The deposit for the structures has been paid and they are on the production schedule for the manufacturer. It is our understanding that they will be delivered around mid-January. ... We want to thank the County staff and Supervisors who helped make this happen. Our focus now is getting these shade structures built, and re-opening SBC! To those of you who voiced your support and offered suggestions, we appreciate you! To all of our valued customers, Thank you so much for all your support throughout this unbelievable year! Our SBC family has enjoyed spending time with you eating, drinking and being merry. Sadly, however, the current State and County guidelines will only allow us to have 14 guests in the Tap Room at any one time, and unfortunately, our County application for a permanent shade/rain cover has been denied. Without that, we simply cannot offer adequate inside/outside space fo...r you to enjoy a winter afternoon out at the Brewery. With that in mind, we have made the hard but necessary decision to close the Tap Room during the winter months. Our wonderful employees have all been notified and are very understanding. Our scheduled reopening date is March 1, 2021. During this closure we will be selling Kegs to the public (at discounted prices), looking into canning for public releases, and we are working on a Crowler and Growler sale system that may involve delivery with minimum purchase. If the County reconsiders our exterior canopy, we may be open sooner. Updates will be pushed during our down time. Again, we appreciate your support and will miss you! Cheers!! It is a new month, which means we have a new Employee of the Month! For the Month of November, our Employee of the Month is Vanessa!! Vanessa is a go getter and a team player!. As soon as she steps in the door she works hard until her shift ends. Wherever she is needed she is there, ready to help with a smile on her face and an upbeat attitude. She is tough, fierce and always leaves a smile on others faces. Great job Vanessa, you deserve it!

As you all know, last week there was a fire that was very close to our brewery. Thanks to the quick actions of our first responders and PG&E workers, our brewery faced no damage. We are so grateful for all the men and women who put their lives on the line every day so that we can all remain safe. As a thank you, this Sunday all first responders and PG&E workers who come to SBC can enjoy a $1 beer as a thank you for their courageous actions. Our October Employee of the Month is...... Danny! Danny is the one of the hardest working people that we have ever met. Not only does Danny put in time on the weekends as a Shift Lead in our Taproom, but he also puts in many hours along side our maintenance guy making sure the property is always looking its best. Danny's coworkers have said that he is a huge team player, always looking for ways to help out, never says no to an assigned task, and truly takes pride in working f...or SBC. Cheers to Danny! You deserve it
