Happy New Year!! Counting down last night felt so good. 2020 was an unexpected year in so many ways. Everyone I know and worked with had their own unique challenges in the midst of the global pandemic. We watched as so much slipped away including loved ones, friendships, dependable timelines, hugs (Ugh, who misses hugs?! As a recovering hugaholic, I know I do), group gatherings, travel as we knew it, school, playgrounds, play dates, worship in sanctuaries, corporate structu...res, strong economies, etc. Through it all, we each gained something different. The additional time I have been able to spend with my family while in quarantine is invaluable. I’ve become more patient and flexible than at this same time last year. I’ve learned to find joy and be joyful in every moment. I’ve realized how overwhelming fear can be and how powerful it is when it’s part of the collective. I’ve discovered the true power of spreading light, especially when darkness threatens at every turn to extinguish glimmers of health, hope, joy, connection and love. Staying present becomes increasingly more difficult when the present is painful, but our love is most impactful when it’s born out of presence. 2020 disassembled many of the superficial facades we hid behind. It has always been okay to not be okay, but last year allowed all of us to be more honest about how we’re really doing. At a soul level, it’s my belief that we’ve all chosen and been chosen to be here at this moment in time. If you get lost in this new year, take time to tune into your heart and your intuition. Let those be your guide. Everyone has a valuable role to play. Try not to let fear overwhelm, steal your light and obscure your path. We’re far from out of the woods, but our collective light is stronger and brighter than it has ever been. Our vibration is higher and big shifts are happening. Look out 2021, here we come!

Today’s garden harvest! Spending time in the garden is always a spiritual experience for me. It’s a reminder that the earth nourishes us and sustains life. I often talk to the plants and give them gratitude. If you’ve never actually hugged a tree, do it! It’s so grounding and it’s a good substitute since many of us might need a hug right now. If you’re afraid of looking crazy, look around first to make sure no one is looking before going in for some tree love. If you have a moment today, hang out in nature and give some gratitude for Mother Earth and all that she does for us. #happyearthday
