While celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth, we can't help but remember Doris Miller. Doris was a Cook Third Class while serving aboard the USS West Virginia in December of 1941 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Doris was awarded the Navy Cross for his acts of heroism during the attack and is remembered as one of the best examples of bravery from that day.
