My man returns to Kenya

Sobriety International 05.05.2022

Heading back to Kenya soon. This year I'm joining my church, Lambs Fellowship, Lake Elsinore, CA (thelambsfellowship.com)., and working with Empowering Lives International (www.empoweringlives.org) again. I'll be leading a team of 4 to Kipkaren, and Illula, for multiple days of alcohol ministry. Our main focus will be in Kerio Valley where brewing is prolific and alcoholic consumption is epidemical. Please pray for our team as we will be leaving for Kenya August 9, 2016 and returning August 27, 2016. Pray for safe travels, good health, protection from insects & critters but most importantly that we would understand God's will for us while we are there.

Arrived in Zambia on Wed. the 14th, met with Pastor Ted & Pastor Joe at the airport. Arrived at Breath of Heaven about an hour later. So amazed at the wonderful home for the children and a brand new school just one week old! I'm having problems posting photos but when you see them you'll know that the Lord has blessed Pastor Ted's vision. I met with a young Pastor named Daniel on Thursday, Pastor Joe arranged the meeting. Pastor Daniel requested the attendance of those in t...he church who Have had drinking problems and are no longer drinking. We met with 5 people from his church, 4 men and one woman. I told them my story and ask them to stand in the gap for alcoholics who still suffer. I ask them to pick a day of the week and a time that they could meet together every week and let the community know where you'll be. I asked them to greet all who come to quit drinking without condemnation. I ask that they would provide a safe place for those who want to recover and share the Love of Jesus by their actions, not their words. Please pray that Pastor Daniel's church would be blessed with many who come to recover from alcohol and find the Love of Jesus in the process of their own recovery. See more

I'm getting packed up for another trip to Africa with "Sobriety International". This time I'm off to Zambia to work with Breath of Heaven Children's Ministries. My flight to Dubai takes off tomorrow afternoon (16 hours) then an overnight and another 7 hour flight to Lusaka, Zambia the next morning. Please pray for a great flight and calm in my heart as I travel. I'll be working to start "Alcohol Recovery" meetings in and around Lusaka to bless those who are willing to quit drinking and seek recovery as a new life style. I'll also be seeking people who have a "Heart for Alcoholics" and pray that the Lord's work continues through them in my absence. Please join me in praying for Divine Appointments, willing alcoholics and God's favor with this ministry and this trip to Zambia. Thank you & God Bless.

I have been blessed with an opportunity to work with Breath of Heaven Ministries In Zambia. I'll be leaving for Lusaka in mid January, flying through Dubai. On this mission we will attempt to establish a small network of recovery near Breath of Heaven's facilities and meet Zambians who have a heart for alcoholics. I'll be working with Pastor Ted Lawler & his friend Pastor Joe Phiri. Please pray for us as we travel in and near Lusaka and for me as I travel... 1/2 way around the world. We covet your support prayerfully and financially. God bless. See more

As our efforts to fight alcoholism in Tanzania are beginning, please pray for Bishop Conrad Lucas Magangi & his wife Christina. As soon as they stepped forward to promote God's work through Sobriety International, one of their sons was found to have an addiction problem. Pray also for Lucas Junior that the Lord might heal him & use him to help others.

Our trip to Tanzania and Kenya was awesome. 2 countries visited, 14 churches educated and 13 souls saved. Please pray for what the Lord wants to do in Tanzania and Kenya as we continue to pass along Sobriety International's Ministry Manuals. Thank you for your support and prayers. God bless, Dave

This is the first time I've been able to log in on Facebook. since I left Cali. We left for Tanzania June 15 and have had 10 awesome days of ministry in a suburb or Mwanza named Igona; plus, we travelled to Kalemela and started a church ministry for alcoholics with our ELI friend Jacob. God is good and he is giving us a blessed trip. I am currently in Nairobi flying to Eldoret at 7:00 am this morning. I'll share more if I can access FB in the coming days. Please pray for Ned'...s stomach, it's upset and we need for it to be healed. God bless, Dave

I received this prayer request from David yesterday following the pastors conference in Tanzania. I would like prayer for the pastors of Igoma (who we met yesterday). I pray that they fully receive the vision and call to serve the alcoholics of their community. I pray that their excitement will continue long after our team leaves. I also pray for the Lord to go before us as we travel and prepare hearts for our message. Thank you for your prayers!

I'm leaving for Tanzania & Kenya this Saturday (returning July 6) and I could use a little help with finances. I know these are hard times for all of us, including small ministries like Sobriety International, but if I could just get 20 people to donate $50. each we would be set. Please prayerfully consider a donation, go to www.sobrietyinternational.org and push the donate button. I'll keep you posted on our progress through Facebook. Blessings, Dave
