Ever seen this type of marine plant? Sargassum horneri, a.k.a. Devil Weed, is an invasive species of algae that has been spotted all along the California coast. The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary is coordinating with other local agencies through its Introduced Species Action Plan to help eradicate this and other marine invasives.
