Smart & Final is proud to celebrate Black History Month, and our associates who bring so much warmth, kindness and energy to our communities, and to their own. Today we’re sharing the words of our Order Selector, Chris Jackson. Black history month is important to me because it shows the accomplishments that African Americans have made not only in the past but in the present as well. As a father and a husband, I feel it’s extremely important that I establish this foundation in my household and that my children understand where they come from and that they take pride in their heritage. Black History is something that is often overlooked and/or not shared as frequently as we would like. We celebrate Black History Month to recognize the sacrifices, contributions, and achievements of African Americans to the United States and the world.
