Our Mum and Baby shop needs donations of gently used children's clothing NB-6T. We launder the clothing with hypoallergenic baby detergent and place it in our Mum & Baby Shop to give for FREE to children. We are open Wednesday to Friday 9a-5p. 2901 H street. www.growingupkern.com.

We have expanded our non-profit services and are relocating to a new 2000 sq foot office at 2901 H Street in Bakersfield, CA. Official open is 10/14/2020. Walk ins welcome. Mask required. Social distancing required. Clothing donations needed. 100% free to all caregivers of children and case managers working with children in Kern County. We offer free diapers, wipes, bathing essentials, safety equipment, gun locks, clothing up to age 6T, food pantry, age appropriate books in English and Spanish, family counseling, and First Aid/ CPR classes. Our Parent Education and Resource Center at 3803 Union Avenue is re-opening on June 24th! We will be open every Wed, Thurs, Fri from 9a-5p. Due to COVID-19, we are taking appointments only for weekly food boxes, weekly diaper/wipes bundle, clothing Newborn - 5T, bathing products, baby boxes, and books! When you arrive, please notify us of your needs and our program manager, Norma, will shop for you and bring it to you in the lobby. Norma will be wearing a face shield and our lobby reception window will have a glass barrier. Unfortunately, these infection control precautions are required for us to reopen.
