Tasting Room/Event Associate San Joaquin Winery is looking for a hard-working, motivated individual to join our team! San Joaquin Winery Tasting Room currently has an opening for a part-time Tasting Room/Event Associate, roughly 10-18 hours a week. Hours includes weekday evenings, weekends and late nights. This position is responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive and memorable experience at San Joaquin Wine Company. Job Description Details and Responsibilities... Greeting customers and clients promptly and courteously, setting up and cleaning up daily operations, stocking wine and retail merchandise, accurately performing wine inventory and money handling procedures, occasionally set up tables and chairs set up, regular maintenance of facility and manage wine tasting for customers on a daily basis. Position Requirements Must be available to work evenings, late nights and weekends Able to perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision Able to be responsive and flexible at last minute requests Describes wines and winery history to customers; answers visitors’ questions (with training) Open to working on-site special events after hours if needed Open to working other special events off property when needed Handles routine purchasing transactions, which include operating cash register Cleaning duties; keeps bar area and storage area tidy Work in a team environment and open to performing other duties as assigned Excellent people skills; able to project a friendly and helpful manner always General wine knowledge and point-of-sale experience preferred, but not required.
