Simi Valley Toastmasters

Thursday, October 15, 2020 we had a fantastic meeting! Our Table Topics was led by Susan Friesen, who did an excellent job. She asked excellent questions and got everyone thinking. We had a terrific speaker, Nachi Sr., who did a speech on mentors. Another excellent speech by Nachi! Our evaluation was even good, by first time evaluator Letty Goodin. Our meeting this week was awesome! We had one guest and Alan, our Table Topics Master did a phenomenal job with his questions. Our winner were: Best Table Topics: Joy Gaylord, ATMS, CL ... Simi Valley Toastmasters meeting was amazing yesterday! Letty was the Toastmaster for the first time, since she joined and WOW; she did an amazing job! We may have had only one speaker, but we had a lot of amazing Table Topics Speakers. Tie for first place, so they both received a ribbon and a virtual trophy!! Congratulations Vidhya and Dexter! We had another wonderful meeting last night! Chitra Olagappan, IP5 was very fun Table Topics Master. The theme was Story Time. She used a random generator to get words, that she gave to members, to tell a story. Excellent job Chitra, as usual! Another phenominal job. Table Topics participants Lew Abbey, CTM His two words were: (Santa Claus; book); the next person was: Nico Martin, IP2 with the two words: (witch; lakers game); Next was: Dexter Bryan Calacar, CC with: (din...ner; movie); the next person was: Alan Mann, DTM with: (test; coffee). Alan summed up the story quite excellent too. He pulled other’s stories in and rapped up the story really nice. Photos of Table Topics respondents will be on last page. Radar Person: Vidhya Dhamodharan, PM1 Humorist: Diana Lopez Speaker #1: Letty Goodin She did (L1 Dynamic Leadership, Ice Breaker - Her title was: Who Am I Really She told us the story about who she is, where she came from plus facts from her life. She did an amazing job for her very first speech at Simi Valley Toastmasters. Speaker #2: Michelle Reed, CC, CL did her speech from Team Collaboration (L1) Evaluation and Feedback #2 with the title of: Which Path Will You Take? She also did an incredible job and even show a PowerPoint Presentation. Some of those slides will be on the last few pages. Excellent meeting last night at Simi Valley Toastmasters. Alan Mann, DTM won Best Table Topics. Just for laying an egg! LOL I guess that helped! Congratulations Alan Mann, DTM! He did an excellent job on his speech about communication and describing the differences of communication. Michelle Reed, who evaluated ...him again, did another wonderful job evaluating the speech.
