Hello SVES! Elective information about the AVID Elective class, all other electives, and the Scholars program will be coming soon to all of our future 6th graders! As we cope with this year’s difficulties we must keep a hopeful eye on the future! We miss all of our current and future Cubs dearly! Stay safe and healthy!

Many of our VVUSD teachers have or will be using Zoom to connect with your child. Our VVUSD team made sure teachers are using safeguards to keep your child safe online. There have been some concerns from parents on the safety protocols we are using. We want to reassure you that teachers are aware of these safeguards.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR SUPERINTENDENT: Val Verde Unified School District Update March 17, 2020... In a report to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, during their meeting today, Dr. Cameron Kaiser, County of Riverside Public Health Officer announced, all schools in Riverside County will remain closed until April 30, 2020. Although schools will be closed until April 30, 2020, the order allows for specialized school functions such as feeding programs and essential operational staff to continue working. Furthermore Dr. Kaiser issued an order which calls for the cancelling of all gatherings with expected presence above 10 individuals. For information about Dr. Kaiser or the Riverside University Health System Public health please visit their website at: https://www.rivcoph.org/coronavirus Val Verde Feeds Students During Closures: We know that many of our families rely on our food services for their daily meals. Because of this, we have made the decision to continue feeding our students during these trying times. Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, meals will be served between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The meals provided will include lunch for that day, and breakfast for the following day. Meals will continue to be served until further notice, to include the week of spring break. Meals will be available for any child 18 years and younger regardless of free or reduced eligibility or school of attendance. However, children must be present in order for meals to be provided. Meals will be served at Triple Crown, May Ranch, Val Verde Academy, March Middle, and Tomas Rivera. On Tuesday, March 18, 2020, food services handed out 1943 meals to our families. We hope that everyone will take advantage of this time to grow as a family. We understand that information is changing rapidly and we will effectively communicate any changes or additional resources. Grab-And-Go FREE Lunch will be available at May Ranch ES and Triple Crown ES for all children under 18. Starts this Tuesday, March 17 from 11-12:30 5. VV Police Department will be proudly serving our community while the schools are closed.
